Our Goals

Rate My Debate Judge was created to bring transparency and fairness to the debate community. As debaters, we have all faced rounds where the judge’s feedback felt unclear, inconsistent, or even biased. This platform aims to provide debaters with a structured space to share constructive insights about their judging experiences. By crowdsourcing feedback, we hope to help debaters better prepare for rounds, understand different judging paradigms, and improve the overall fairness of debate tournaments.

At its core, Rate My Debate Judge is about fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, and respect in debate. Our goal isn’t to critique judges unfairly but to ensure that all competitors, from novices to seasoned debaters, have the knowledge they need to adapt and thrive.

Developer

This platform was founded in Jan. 2025 by Mahilan Guha, a PF debater who has earned numerous gold bids to TOC, and who consistently ranked within the top 50 nationally during the 2023-2024 season. With Rate My Debate Judge, Mahilan hopes to leave an impact on the debate community by creating a resource that helps debaters navigate competitive rounds with better insights, confidence, and fairness.
